About Process Plant Network
At Process Plant Network, we lead the way in supplying state-of-the-art process and packaging machinery across Australia and New Zealand. Our innovative and supportive team has a long-standing history of excellence, with many members contributing for over 20 years. We value growth, learning, and dedication in every role.

The Role
We’re looking for a motivated Apprentice Electrician, ideally in your 2nd or 3rd year, to join our dynamic team. While hands-on experience is valuable, a willingness to learn and grow is key. In this role, you’ll gain exposure to maintenance, fault-finding, troubleshooting, and machinery repair, as well as the opportunity to learn about installing and commissioning production lines and designing control systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Hands-On Experience: Work alongside experienced professionals in maintaining and repairing advanced machinery.
  • Installation & Commissioning: Assist in the installation and commissioning of production lines while learning the best practices in the industry.
  • Control Systems: Get involved in wiring and designing control systems, with opportunities to learn about Variable Speed Drives (VSD) and Servo motors.
  • Programming Opportunities: While not required, there are chances to learn PLC and VSD programming (particularly Omron systems), as well as other advanced control systems skills.
  • Client Support: Support our team in traveling within Victoria and interstate, providing on-site assistance, training, and support to our valued clients.

Why Join Us?

  • Valuable Learning Experience: Grow your skills in a diverse work environment where every day brings new challenges.
  • Opportunities for Advancement: Discover opportunities in programming, robotics, and advanced control systems—all while developing your electrical trade skills.
  • Supportive Environment: Learn from Grade A electricians and other experienced professionals in a collaborative and friendly team.
  • Flexible Working Hours: Enjoy a schedule that supports your training needs while meeting client demands.
  • Industry Exposure: Gain hands-on experience in a variety of settings—from processing plants to food production facilities.

Skills & Experience

  • Education: Enrolled as an Apprentice Electrician (minimum 2nd or 3rd year)
  • Learning Attitude: A proactive approach to learning new skills and technologies
  • Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic Knowledge: Exposure to maintenance and fault-finding in the industry is beneficial, though not required
  • Desirable (but not essential):
    • An interest in or prior exposure to wiring and designing control systems
    • A desire to learn about VSD and Servo systems
    • Interest in PLC and HMI controls, with opportunities to explore programming—particularly with Omron systems
  • Adaptability: Eagerness to embrace change, learn on the job, and tackle new challenges

If you’re an ambitious apprentice ready to advance your career in the packaging and processing industry, we’d love to hear from you. Join our passionate team at Process Plant Network and take the next step in your electrical career!
